VALUES EDUCATION INTEGRATED IN THE CURRICULUM
NON-TRADITIONAL LESSONS TO NURTURE LIFE SKILLS
A series of PE classes, where values education was integrated in the curriculum were given by PE teacher-expert Dalia Rakauskiene. The teacher focused on the core values such as dignity, respect, kindness, rights and responsibilities through a variety of games and joy of movement. About 120 students from classes I and II participated. While doing various tasks the students had to be supportive, caring and careful, they developed team work and critical thinking. The aim was reached: there was joy in the students‘ faces. They learned a lot about the values effortlessly.
