February 9-16 , 2025
From February 9–16, 2025, students and teachers from Palangos Senoji Gimnazija visited Antalya Toplum Koleji. During the mobility, the students improved many practical skills, such as navigating a new city, budgeting, teamwork, research planning, and problem-solving, which helped them become more independent and responsible.
On the first day, they were given a guided tour of the school by the Turkish students and attended STEAM classes together with them. The participants communicated constantly with everyone involved in the mobility, significantly improving their English language skills.
On the second day, the activities focused on exploring the cultural, historical, and architectural heritage of Antalya. This included guided tours of Antalya’s Old Town, the Antalya Museum, and the Antalya Aquarium. The students observed both positive aspects—such as the care given to stray animals—and negative aspects—such as the use of plastic straws—related to environmental sustainability.
They also gained a deeper understanding of cultural diversity, discrimination and intolerance, inclusion and diversity, digital education, and participation in democratic life. On the third day, educational activities at school continued, including a drama workshop, STEAM education, and archery. The day concluded with presentations about Lithuania, its educational system, the town of Palanga, and Palangos Senoji Gimnazija. The students used digital technologies to prepare these presentations and videos, as well as to conduct their research during the mobility. Through this, they discovered new and effective ways to use digital tools, which they will apply in their future studies and careers.
On the fourth day, research was carried out during visits to Aspendos Theatre and the ancient city of Perge. A PhD archaeologist guided the participants, helping them understand essential details about the historical, architectural, and cultural heritage of the region.
The final day was dedicated to completing the research activity, sharing findings, and reflecting on their Erasmus+ experience. The Antalya Directorate of Education provided significant support in organizing the mobility.
